Verizon Wireless Launches Verizon Hub With Visual Voicemail Powered By uReach
uReach Technologies, a leading provider of converged communications solutions for wireless, wireline and broadband carriers, and Verizon Wireless, the nation’s leading wireless service provider, announced today that the new Verizon Hub includes uReach’s visual voice messaging services. Available from Verizon Wireless, the Verizon Hub is an easy-to-use system that puts a communications command center in the home. It bridges wireline and wireless connectivity and runs on any broadband connection – whether supplied by Verizon (FiOS Internet or DSL) or any other high-speed Internet service provider.
The Verizon Hub gives busy families information at their fingertips from an easy-to-navigate touch screen with on-demand access to an array of services and information. The Verizon Hub’s Visual Voice Mail, built using uReach’s Converged Services Framework (CSF), provides instant on-screen access to voice messages. Family members can see who has left messages and listen to them in any order through the touch interface.
“uReach Technologies believes that state-of-the-art technology is only useful if it brings value to its customers,” said Krishnamurty Kambhampati, chief executive officer of uReach Technologies. “Working with Verizon Wireless allows us to leverage our carrier-class platform to deliver innovative messaging services that speed and simplify the mobile consumer’s lifestyle.”
“People want access to information and media content delivered in a relevant and meaningful way,” said Mike Lanman, chief marketing officer of Verizon Wireless. “Visual Voice Mail is another useful tool every family will want to have, especially when they experience the valuable and powerful features that partners such as uReach Technologies deliver.”
