VZ Navigator VX Brings 3D Maps to Droid Line

Verizon Wireless today announced a new version of its navigation software for its line up of Android devices that adds 3D maps. The 3D maps are supported in six cities to start (Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Mo., New York, and Washington, D.C.) and Verizon says more will be added throughout 2011. With the new software, Verizon's Android phones will be able to interact with 3D renderings of these cities as they explore them. The software also includes detailed information on things such as highway and exit signs. To start, the software will work on the Motorola Droid X, HTC Droid Incredible, and the Samsung Fascinate. The cost remains $10 per month, $5 per week, or $3 per day.
